The secondary vocational education, especially in minority areas, does not only shoulder the important task of training of workers with higher labor skills, but also charge with the important task of national regional prosperity and development and improve the quality of the population of the ethnic areas. Thus, the secondary vocational education in minority areas has been highly valued. Career planning education has been one of the basic tasks of secondary vocational education and an inevitable requirement to adapt to the needs of social and economic development, to promote the comprehensive development of secondary vocational students. However, at this stage, career planning education of vocational schools in minority areas is still in a relatively backward stage, partly because of the lack of professional career planning education, the lack of qualified teachers and education is mostly a mere formality not to play the desired effect. Thus, at this stage, it is of great significance to analyze vocational school career planning education through case.Firstly, the paper studies the relevant literature, combing the status of domestic and foreign research and research purposes, then design the questionnaire; Secondly, the paper selects the object of study-the Ordos health schools for small-scale facilities measured, and revises and improves the measurement data and the questionnaire dimensions to determine the final survey questionnaire; Thirdly, using the survey method, a sample survey was conducted in Ordos health schools located in minority areas to summed up the national vocational schools career planning education characteristics and problems. Based on the analysis of the problem the paper discusses countermeasures to improve the national vocational schools career planning education.The results show that, at this stage, career planning education in ethnic secondary vocational schools with the loss of function of the education-related institutions and specialized teachers. The education is mostly a mere formality, and it has poor educational results and student acceptance is low. Different with other regions, the degree of awareness of the vocational school students on career planning education in minority areas is relatively low, and the degree of knowledge has remained mostly related courses teaching more junior level, but the vocational school students in minority areas generally place more emphasis on career planning education, consider it necessary to carry out education, and thus vocational students in general career planning education highlights the practicality and functionality. Career planning educational development of vocational schools in ethnic minority areas has affected vocational students'subsequent career development, and therefore the government, schools and individuals must be linked to further increase career planning education reform to improve the employability and competitiveness of vocational students in practice.
