It is an exigent requirement and essential mission for secondary vocational schools to put into effect the career planning education for the students in secondary vocational schools. However, education on career planning among secondary vocational school students hasn't been carried out in a large scale at present in our country. There are still many shortages and defects during the executive process, which need to be improved and perfected. A detail and in-depth research is conducted on this issue in this thesis.There are four parts in this thesis.In the first part, the necessity of career planning education and its connotation, characteristic and significance are studied, and an introduction of the study status of career planning education at home and abroad is given.In the second part, based on the investigation of four secondary vocational schools in Guangxi, the thesis analyzes and studies the status of career planning education in secondary vocational schools at present from the perspectives of school, teachers and students. It concludes that there are many shortages in secondary vocational career planning education such as having only courses on career planning education, formalizing in educational process, simplified educational routes and methods. These shortages have caused many problems such as unilaterally following their career goal, lack of initiative in studying and improving professional abilities, inadequate awareness and skills to plan their future career. Then the thesis points out that reforms and improvement of career planning education in secondary vocational schools are needed.In the third part, the principles that should be followed in career planning education in secondary vocational schools are listed. These principles include main principles, systemic principles, principles of differences, and practical principles etc. The thesis also points out that a strong organization, scientific teaching content and specialized teaching groups are the guarantee.In the forth part, the thesis concludes the executive ways and educational methods to put career planning education into effect in secondary vocational schools with an emphasis on ways of expanding career planning education, guiding career planning in the professional education, intensifying the idea of career planning in the professional practice, and soaking the career planning educational work into idea and moral education, curricular education , professional practice and other educational ways by means of courses intervention and teaching infiltration, special tutorship and party consultation, self thinking and separately guidance, example guidance and mutually in partners, simulating drilling and practice experience and other educational methods. Thus an educational system and network will be formed to take charge of career planning education, which will finally make it possible for secondary vocational school students.
