With the popularity of Internet technology applications, e-commerce industry developed very rapidly. Development of e-commerce industry had promoted the rise of the express industry; let the express industry become the highest concern segments. China’s express delivery volume surpassed the US to become the world’s largest express delivery country in 2014, express industry has become China’s emerging industries.In recent years, the huge potential of the domestic express delivery market, the express delivery market profits and lower market entry barriers, on the one hand attract the attention of many domestic and international peer companies, on the other hand let potential competitors outside the industry coveted express delivery market, they had set foot courier services, further reduced the market share of China’s express delivery business. Today expess industry has shown a crowded market, competing fighting situation. With the continuous rapid development of e-commerce, the majority of courier service companies had been unable to meet the needs of users of online shopping proposed. Therefore, to find a suitable strategic express industry to survival and development is very important.This paper described the background of domestic and foreign express delivery industry, introduced the theory of enterprise competitiveness and analyzed the status quo of the current courier industry firstly; Secondly, this paper borrowed Michael Porter’s five forces model of competition, analyzed the competitive structure of the courier industry from the express delivery industry and suppliers’ the bargaining power of the demand side, the threat of new entrants, threat of substitutes, and between peer competition, established courier industry five forces competitive model structure, Thirdly, through the express industry competitive forces to identify the key factors, applied the Gray Relational evaluation model to evaluate these indicators, converted a theoretical analysis of five forces model into quantitative indicators of the network structure a quantized index network, to depth understand of each competitive situation of China’s express delivery industry.
