More and more non-basic research R & D projects constrained by the contract were found in manufacturing enterprises. The contradiction between exploration and constraints comes up the risk source. Since the traditional brush motor market nearly saturated, the enterprise is looking for some new profit growth point. While increasing R&D investment, they should focus on comprehensive risk analysis. If lack of risk analysis, we couldn't ensure the success of the project. Therefore, making effective risk prevent plan and establish the image of R&D capabilities is key point that helps the company to seize market opportunities. By a case analysis throughout the theoretical study, we make the risk identify and qualified assessment on the project and develop response options. That shows the risk analysis value in the practical R&D projects. The detailed studies are as follows:Analyze the project background in terms of advantage and disadvantage by means of SWOT method to clear about the project objectiveAccording to the project objective, make risk identification by means of WBS-RBS. Then associate the objective with risk factors. And set up an evaluation criteria of risk index. It includes calculating the critical importance of each risk factor by means of fault tree quality analysis and calculating the delay time of total project duration caused by each risk factor by means of project schedule. Then grade each risk index.According to risk response principle, make risk response plan.
