How to better protect the neighborhood’shistorical and cultural history, the state and the government has introduced a number ofrelevant policies, the masses are also actively involved in, thus many of the historicdistrict has been a very good protection. However, some of the historical blockprotections have some deficiencies, which provide the author of space to think.This article mainly from the multi-disciplinary, multi-field, multi-theoretical oftheoretical foundation, unifies the domestic and foreign historical block protect thedevelopment process and the related case studies, analysis of the historic districtprotection shortcomings, especially for the historic district as defined in the scope fieldnot too scientific, just through qualitative analysis, the lack of quantitative analysis,therefore, combining application of the theory of natural gradient, proposed historicdistrict protection for the theory-gradient protection theory. Then, for the gradientprotection theory conducted a detailed exposition, mainly includes gradient protectionthe concept of theory, gradient protection theory in the historical of block suitabilityanalysis, and proposed gradient protection theory protection belt in the historic districtis divided five methods, so that,the gradient protection theory in the historic district hasthe quantitative analysis.Then, taking the Ba Da Guan historic district in Qingdao as anexample, briefly addressed the gradient protection theory in the historic districtprotection in the specific application, and dream about the future development trend ofthe conservation of historic district.This paper studies to explore, mainly lies in pursuing the perfect historical blockprotection to the regeneration of defects, seeking a better protection of the methods andmeasures for the future urban construction and the historical block protection of to provide some theoretical basis.
