Railway hub, as an important part of network of railways, is a key position to deal with freight and passenger service, the station exchange, train flow and power supply in transportation. Jilin railway hub is located in northeast China. It is on the intersection of three main railway lines:Changtu line, Shenji Line and Longshu Line, combining Changji line of inter-city train and Jihui line which is being built. The object of study in the thesis is the system of Freight Hub. The research content includes allocation of railway cargo yard, marshalling yards in railway hub and power flow transfer limit, which play an important role in improvement of cargo capacity.Based on the data of historical volume of cargo transportation, the thesis makes the prospect of cargo transportation volume in Jilin hub in the future under the Neural Network Approach characterized by abilities of self-adaptability and self-learning, with the hope to provide a basis for enlarging the power supply capacity, developing the centralization of freight transportation, building comprehensive railway cargo yard in hub. The thesis analyzes the capacity of Qipan marshalling yard, tries to offer a plan for enlarging the power supply capacity and provides a basis for it. At last, the author tries to find the limit of transportation and offers an improvement plan for the hub based on an overall consideration of condition of hub and contact line capacity. Considering the condition of Jilin hub and technical index of every cargo yard, this thesis offers three possible alternatives for three comprehensive cargo yards and uses DEA fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to make a choice of them, with the hope to make the optimal choice of comprehensive cargo yard.
