In recent years, with the rapid development of the ship industry, the degree of ship power station automation has been greatly improved. From1960s of relay control and transistor discrete component control technology to today, gradually form a set of monitoring, control, manage network in one of the ship power station automation. Ship power station control equipment has been changed from traditional analog to digital, such as DAVR (digital automatic voltage regulator), GPC (Generator paralleling control). The advantages of them are light weight, small volume and good stability, so they were universal accepted. But as GPC and DAVR are powerful and versatile and need to master the professional knowledge and more hands-on experience. If some parameters were not set correctly, they will cause some dangers to the ship’s safe operation.In this paper, through the analysis of the principle of the digital automatic voltage regulator, establish the mathematical model and regulate parameters, then simulate in the Matlab environment. On the basis of simulation, debugging and running AVR, and verify the performance of regulator. At last, design the training interface through Visual Basic6.0. It contains the function of monitor and management. It can set the GPC of parameter and download to the GPC. The training interface contains protection function, synchronous generator system data and so on. In addition, finish the function of remote access via the Winsock.
