With the continual increasement of scale and construction difficulties in modernconstruction projects, it is unrealistic to complete the project entirely depend on onebusiness organization; it is the trend of organization model that multi-professionalconstruction companies participate in engineering construction.In this dissertation, a representative construction project in which the autorparticipated is slected as the research subject, the management problems of nominatedsubcontractor is studied and discussed through the way of case analysis, aiming atpresenting feasible countermeasures for the coexistence of nominated subcontractorand general contractor according to the contradictions and conflicts.The author summarizes and analyzes the research status and results ofconstruction project management through reading literatures, especially focus on thecoordinate management of general contractor, subcontractor, and nominatedsubcontractor. Meanwhile, combined with the years of construction managementexperience, with a certain tennis court renovation project of Tianjin as the researchobject, the main existing problems and defects of subcontractor management are putforward, which mainly concentrates on the multilateral relations coordination, projectprogress and quality control, construction material quality and delivery acceptance,project systematic management, etc.The autor put forward a set of detailed management measures from practicalpoint of view, which provides strategy and basis. This set of measures has highuniversality, which according to the presented existing problems and defects ofnominated subcontractor managem is not only suitable for general contractor tomanage the subcontractor, but also enable the general contractor to increase themanagement force on professional subcontractor s. Partial means of this set ofmeasures has been applied in the construction projects management which the authorparticipated in later, and the effect is remarkable. Meanwhile, combined with thepractice, the author provides some reference advice on the legislation and contractsigning of nominated subcontractor.After collecting large amounts of data and literature and and researching them indepth, the following conclusions are drawn:(1) Domestic and international researchresults in engineering practice is lack of universal and operability.(2) The focus and difficult of nominated subcontractor is as follows: project management and control ofquality and schedule, quality of materials and delivery acceptance management, a safeand civilized construction management, the relationship coordination between generalcontractor and nominated subcontractor.(3)The law of nominated subcontractor is stillto be improved in China.
