Fertilizer Using Efficiency Of China’s Grain Production And Its Determining Factors

Fertilizer is an important agricultural production, application offertilizer can increase crop production, but the improper application ofchemical fertilizer is one of the agricultural non-point source pollution. Thestudy integrated of efficiency theory, agricultural technology efficiencytheory, technical progress and theory of total factor productivity, from thetheoretical and empirical research of China’s grain production level oftechnical efficiency and fertilizer utilization efficiency, exploring theeffect of our country fertilizer use efficiency of resource factors, marketfactors, economic factors, social factors, system factors. On the basis oftheoretical analysis, this article uses stochastic frontier production function,estimates from2006to2009in China of wheat, maize and rice productionefficiency, and based on above,the factors that affect the fertilizer usingefficiency were analyzed. Research shows that wheat, corn and rice is notonly impede inefficient fertilizer use efficiency of its technology, but alsoan important agricultural nonpoint source pollution causes; financialsupport for agriculture, education level, income level, the per capitaacreage and fertilizer price are the most important factors to fertilizer useefficiency.
