This article analyzes the main problems and teaching effectivenesson Chinese characters teaching of the Korean primary and middle schoolsand universities surveyed by us. And then we collected the corpus of somestudents’Chinese characters errors. We have a preliminary understandingthe situation of the Korean students learning Chinese characters throughanalysis of their Chinese characters errors and difficulties. Finally,the article proposes the appropriate teaching suggestions considering thecharacteristics of Chinese characters and the differences between Chineseand Korean and their Chinese characters acquisition sequence.The article consists of three parts:The first part is the preface to clarify the significance of the topicand the previous results. It analyzes this paper inspired by the existingresearch results and put forward the idea of this study.The second part is the body. ChapterⅠanalyzes the main problems andproposes the appropriate teaching suggestions through surveying Chinesecharacters teaching of the Korean primary and middle schools anduniversities. ChapterⅡexamples of the teaching of Chinese charactersof the Chinese department at the university of Ulsan, collecting and gathering statistics and analyzing, the Chinese characters corpus tomade the second, third and fourth grade students. And we have a generalunderstanding of Korean students’Chinese character learning, and thenwe can see the Chinese character teaching effectiveness in Korea. ChapterⅢdivides the problems on the strokes and parts of Chinese charactersappearing in the corpus into characters errors types and makes a simpleanalysis. ChapterⅣcompares the well and poor in Chinese charactersgrasped by the Korean students, and discusses the possible difficultiesin the strokes and parts of Chinese characters when they learning theChinese characters. We analyze their root causes, the characteristics ofChinese characters and the differences in words between Chinese and Korean.Finally, we have five principles and some suggestions in the teachingKorean students of Chinese characters for the characteristics of the studyof Korean student.The third part is the conclusion. It analyzes of research achievementsand shortcomings.
