With the Sino-Thai Trade development, the quantity demanded for the talents who are proficient in Business Chinese have been increasing. In the last few years. Thailand universities have set up Business Chinese major. Because Business Chinese has the feature of expertness and practicality, the traditional teaching method is not suitable for Business Chinese Teaching. Therefore, the Business Chinese teachers are exploring the teaching methods which can be applied to Business Chinese Teaching. The widely adopted task-based teaching method can be beneficial tot the development of student’s language expression ability, language communication ability. Therefore, task-based teaching method can meet the requirement of Business Chinese, which puts high emphasis on the development of students’ language communication ability. This thesis will explore the task-based teaching design which can be applied to the teaching of Business Chinese in Thailand universities. The next paragraph will introduce the overall structure of this thesis.The first Chapter is to elaborate the significance, research emphasis and research method of this thesis, and, furthermore, shows the recently studies of task-based language teaching. The second chapter is to introduce the theoretical basis and the meaning, components and types of the task. The second chapter also shows the general framework for task-based teaching method. The third chapter firstly analyzes the feasibility of task-based language teaching method in Business Chinese teaching in Thailand universities. Furthermore, base on the textbook of Experiencing Chinese Business Edition, this chapter gives an overall design for the tasks which can be used for Business Chinese. Finally, this chapter puts forward a task-based framework which is suitable for the teaching of Business Chinese. The last chapter shows the major findings and limitations of task-based Business Chinese teaching in practical application. Finally, the last chapter gives some suggestions for the solution of these problems.The innovative points of this thesis are the design of the tasks which are suitable for the task-based Business Chinese teaching in Thailand universities and the design of the task-based Business Chinese teaching framework. Based on the current level of the students and the study demand of the students, the textbook is divided to twelve topics, and each topic is given several practical tasks. In the process of design tasks, I get ride of several tasks which is not suitable for the development of the students’ communicative skills, such as the design of the resume and the design of the name card. I also add some tasks which are related to the students’daily life, such as sharing our favorite brands, showing our daily expenditure. Meanwhile, the teaching process framework given by this thesis has the reference value for the teachers who teach Business Chinese.
