In recent years, with the rapid economic growth, learning Chinese has become a hot issue all over the world. According to the relationship between China and the Philippines, in1899, the Philippines had traditional Chinese education already. The traditional Chinese education focused on the education towards oversea Chinese of Chinese language and Chinese culture. But in recent year, Chinese language has gradually become a powerful and useful language and given more and more attention by people in the world. Nowadays, Chinese education has changed a lot; it is not only the language education for oversea Chinese, but the language education for foreigners as a foreign language.The Chinese education in mainstream of the Philippines is a kind of language education for foreigners as a foreign language. Currently, Chinese education has become popular in the Philippines and the Philippines government gives support to develop Chinese education, but it still has many problems such as the lack of Chinese teacher, the incomplete Chinese education system and also the problem of Chinese teaching materials. If we do not solve the problems in time, it will be difficult to develop Chinese education in the Philippines in the future.The research result is concluded from the current study on Chinese education in the Philippines mainstream schools can be used to improve the current Chinese education. Furthermore, I hope that, it could provide a valuable reference to the further teaching in the Philippines.
