In recent years, a growing number of Vietnamese students choose to learn Chinese in China for further study. But in the process of learning, a lot of students pronounce Chinese with its own "Vietnamese flavor" under the influence of their mother tongue. Therefore, this thesis tends to study on the current weakness of Vietnamese students’Chinese A-grade vowels acquisition based on Vietnamese students as the object of study. This thesis, using the method of comparative analysis and experimental Phonetics in Chinese, compares A-grade vowel pattern of both Chinese and Vietnamese, based on the application of inter-language and vowel patterns theory. According to the analysis, the vowel pattern of Vietnamese framework is similar to the vowel pattern of Chinese framework, there are nine A-grade vowel in Vietnamese, which are:/i, e, ε, a,(?), o, u,(?), γ/。Through the analysis of vowel diagram from Vietnamese male and female learners, we can see that the pronunciation position of [i] of the junior and mediate Vietnamese learners is similar to the Chinese. But the pronunciation position of vowel [u]、[a] is slightly in front of the Chinese pronunciation position. But on the whole, there are slight differences between the overall framework of Vietnamese pronunciation and Chinese pronunciation. As to the advanced stage, there is a significant progress after a long time learning the vowel [(?)] and the front high rounded vowel [y]. On the contrary, the acquisition of tongue vowels [(?)]、[(?)] is slow, many learners are still unable to pronounce tongue vowels [(?)]、[(?)] during the advanced stage, and they include the tongue vowels into a mother-tongue vowels [(?)] areas. Finally, on the basis of experiment, the thesis raised teaching suggestions and countermeasures to Vietnamese students.
