From the perspective of linguistics and stylistics, this paper makes an analysis of the unique stylistic features of academic English represented in vocabulary, sentence as well as discourse, and conducts a study which aims to probe into style reproduction and reconstruction in the translation of academic English. In light of Eugene Nida’s theory of functional equivalence, the author attempts to reproduce or reconstruct the stylistic features of academic English. In the paper, some methods of translation are proposed to strive for equivalence between the source language and the receptor language of Lexis and Creativity in Translation--A Corpus-based Study (Chapter2). Based on the case study, a conclusion can be drawn that academic English can be reproduced or reconstructed.
