A Discussion Of Action-measure Words In Teaching At Intermediate Stage

Normally there are two parts of the system of measure words in Chinese, one of themis action-measure words. However, the study of action-measure words came later than themeasure words of nouns, and people do not attach importance to it. In Teaching Chinese asForeign Language (TCFL), action-measure words are difficult to study and teach, soforeign students are not easy to master that they have become an obstacle to use Chineselanguage.This paper focuses on action-measure words for TCFL. We selected10specialaction-measure words and10borrowing action-measure words. Based on the quantitativeanalysis and qualitative analysis, we made a questionnaire and got the feedback. We wouldpropose the corresponding teaching strategies finally. This paper contains three chaptersexcept preface and conclusion.At first, there is the definition and the classification of normal special action-measurewords. On the basis of analyzing the facts of the language, we gathered up many kinds oferrors which students used, analyzed every error and described the reasons.Second, we made a survey for action-measure words use of134foreign students.Questionnaire contains four parts from difficulty coefficient and inspection points of view.By feedback analysis, we found that the affecting factors include the time of learning, thelevel of Chinese language, the comprehensive capacity of language skill, the teachingstrategies and student’s learning attitude towards action-measure words etc.Third, we proposed teaching strategies for TCFL. We would arouse sufficientattention on affecting factors of action-measure words, for instance, making discriminativeresearch of similar action-measure words, strengthening the application research ofaction-measure words use, seeking for reasonable teaching methods for TCFL and etc.
