The Study On Effective English Teaching In Vocational And Technical Colleges

In recent years, with the rapid development of higher vocational education, theresearchers are paying more attentions to the higher vocational education. Manyproblems in higher vocational education development have aroused concerns amonghigher vocational college teachers and researchers. For example, the development thecurrent English teaching in higher vocational colleges is greatly behind the newsituation and the new requirements of the society. The higher vocational graduates’English application abilities are not so good, such as, so called “high marks,unintelligence”,“deaf English”.So the effective English teaching in higher vocationalcolleges are becoming the hot issue. As one of the public English teachers in highervocational colleges, the author of this paper is ready to focus on the study about suchhot issue.This paper firstly discussed the present situation of the higher vocational Englishteaching and the existing problems by using the following methods, such as, theliterature analysis, questionnaire investigation, interview method and theory researchmethod to do the comprehensive research. Then the author, from her own teachingpractice, that is the various aspects of the higher vocational English classroom teaching,probes into the effective teaching of higher vocational English in order to get moreeffective measures, and achieved a good effect. At last, the author, based on theexisting problems in the public English teaching in higher vocational colleges, putforward some feasible countermeasures and measures summarized from her ownteaching.The innovation of this paper is firstly pointing out the problems in higher vocationalEnglish teaching. And secondly we make clear that the effective higher vocationalEnglish teaching is the right development direction the higher vocational Englishteaching. And finally put forward the new higher vocational English teaching strategies.That is the methods combined the subject research with the classroom teaching. Thestudy, combined with the classroom teaching examples, specifics to the every aspect inthe higher vocational English teaching, making every imaging step validated in higher vocational English teaching. Finally truly achieve the effective teaching in highervocational English teaching.
