Task-based language teaching (TBLT), which emphasizes using language tocomplete a variety of missions, means to learn by doing. The author had some try forTBLT in Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna ChiangRai campus(RMUTLCR), which based on this Teaching philosophy.The restrictions of chinese elective course in Thai high education are fewerclass hours and low intensity. According to the real teaching condition of thiscampus and combined with the Task-based language teaching method, aiming atimprove the listening, speaking and oral communication, the author openedTask-based elementary spoken Chinese class.Chapter1describes the origin and meaning of this topic. Chapter2based onachievements of the theories, and pay attention to the operation model. Chapter3analyse students learning motivation and habit through the form of questionnaire.Chapter4researches on some special necessary reasons in implementation ofTask-based Teaching. Chapter5describs the implementation of Task-based Teaching.Chapter6reveals the teaching effect, and the Chapter7making suggestions toChinese Teaching and teacher training for Hanban.The first characteristic of this thesis is the investigation of requirements whichis necessary for making TBLT happen.The second one is that the author designed aone-term TBLT course,which targeted to the Thai students.
