In the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, teaching materials hasa very close relationship with teachers and learners. Teacher, as the organizer inteaching activities, has great influence on "learning" relying on their own teachingexperience and flexible adjustment of teaching contents. Textbook is the resource andtool which is used by teacher and students, and also is another important part ofteaching activities. Meanwhile, the quality and applicability of the materials takes akey role in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. This study, combining thecomparative study of teaching materials and teaching practice verification, is dividedinto six chapters.Chapter1is introduction, mainly discusses the development status quo ofteaching Chinese as a foreign language and further establishes the research directionof this paper through the survey of teaching material. In many teaching materials, theauthor choose their teaching used in the textbook "new practical Chinese annotations(Spain) and widely used" Chinese textbook "(2006edition) as the research object,using literature research, comparative method, quantitative and qualitative method.In Chapter2, based on literature review, the research achievements and theinsufficiency about the writing theory to practice, the text, vocabulary, grammar, andculture are summarized.Chapter3analyses the innovation for this study: content to keep pace with TheTimes, rethinking the national textbook, enriching the research of pronunciation andChinese characters, verifying the feasibility of compiling textbooks based on teachingpractice.In Chapter4, based on comparative method, this study discusses thecharacteristics of teaching materials, length, catalogs, pronunciation, Chinesecharacters, vocabulary, grammar analysis, etc. This study also compares theadvantages and shortcomings of the two sets of teaching materials and gives severalproposals and teaching strategy to the primary teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In the last chapter, challenges that teaching Chinese as a foreign language mayencounter in future are outlined based on the reviewing.
