Child labor has been hailed as a shame on humanity, the scars of conscience inthe21st century. The international community has attached great importance to theissue of child labor, and takes strong action and measures to prevent and eliminatechild labor. However, as a country of large number of child labors, China’s child laborhas not been given due concern and attention, theoretical studies also looked pale.This paper aims, firstly, to hope that this research can contribute to a professionaldialogue on the problem of child labor research in the academic community, makingthe problem of child labor toward the depth direction, secondly, to hope do things forchild labor policy advocacy and action advocacy to promote government and thecommunity more focus on prevention and comprehensive treatment of the problem ofchild labor.Around the research objectives, the author has used a combination of literatureresearch and field studies to write the paper. On one hand, by entering the fieldobservation and depth interviews, the author collected rich content of qualitativedata; on the other hand, by reading the literature and field research data, the authorgradually establish the theoretical framework of "social exclusion" and "participation"as the core concept of this paper.On this basis, the author analyzes the factors that affect the children involved inchild labor: in the process of growing up facing to economic exclusion, culturalexclusion, non-material disadvantage exclusion, system of exclusion, educationalexclusion, from families, schools, communities and peer groups and social policies,their abilities, chance are deprived, loss of sense of belonging, loss of participation inmainstream society, marginalization gradually,and the factors that few people listento their voices in community, concern about their interests.The author believes that in the perspective of social work, we shouldadvocate all members of society to foster the concept of humane care and the rights ofthe child protection awareness and children’s welfare awareness, advocate to promote the prevention of child labor in family functioning policies, concept of innovation ineducation policy, community collaboration, cultural construction and the constructionof corporate social responsibility system and fully mobilize the active participation ofall sectors of society, respect the position of the main body of the child labor groups toeffectively establish the intervention system on the prevention of child labor,protection, return and so on.
