In addition to accelerating the pace of urbanization, the rapid development of economy alsomakes it possible for every ifeld of production to realize mechanization which leads to a largenumber of rural surplus labor force, and together with the great demand of the labor force for thecity construction, a new special group is formed-They are rural migrant worker who flowbetween cities and villages. So far, the scale of the migrant workers still expands, and they tendto be younger rfom the age aspect, who was mostly bom in the1980s or1990s. In order to makea distinction between this younger generation and the last geneartion, the academic circlereferred to the younger geneartion of rural migrant workers as " New Generation migrantworkers". Compared with the last generation, althought they live in similar social environments,because the younger generaiton have higher level of education and they begin to form irghtawareness and legal concept,they have different behavious choices and become more intolearntof unjust social system and non-standard government behaviors. Therefore, the new genearitonwill hold different political opinions rfom the first generation of migrant workers. It is of greatsigniifcance to the construction of socialist harmonious society to identity the new geneartion ofpeasant workers’ political identity.Based on the survey of the new geneartion of migrant workers in Heze city and personalinterviews, using the related theory of political identity for refeernce, this paper analyzes thecurrent situation of peasant workers’ new political identity, respectively rfom the interest identity,system identity, political authoirties identity and political culture identity. As the survey hasrevealed, the new geneartion of peasant workers’ income is low and also their legal rights arenot guaranteed, which lead to their low degree of political identity; Some unfair social systemresults in their reduction of system identiifcation; In addition, long-standing governmentcorruption and low administraitve ability also caused the new generation of migrant workers’sdistrust in government; Last but not least, the new generation of migrant workers are confusedthe conflict between rural political culture and city political culture. In shotr, there still remainmany problems about the new generation of peasant workers’ political identity. Aiming to solvethese problems, rfom the macro and micro levels, this paper try to ifnd the causes for thoseproblems and search for the solutions.
