Research In Local Government In Public Crisis Event Communication

In this paper, we introduce and comb the domestic and abroad research situation of crisis communication; and describe the public crisis in angle of its mean and character to conclude its development cycle; to clarify the meaning of public crisis communication; in the describe part of the communication theory, we introduce the communication model and management rule during a public crisis, confirm all kinds of function of public crisis communication. This paper conclude the general steps during the local government communicate, summerize the exsited problems of the local government during the public crisis communication:government’s crisis communication consciousness is not strong; have not established perfect information sharing platform; management of crisis information communication mechanism is not flexible enough; feedback mechanism between government and the public is not smooth; crisis’s afterwards’ communication seriously enough. Based on the existed problem, this paper further analysis the reason on the existed problems. Then, we analysis the communication experience during the Longjiang cadmium pollution incident, the communication strategy of the advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. At the end, we raised from four aspects such as the government, the government and the public, government and the media, social mobilization of other forces involved in crisis communication on how to optimize the communication strategy and suggestions.
