With the rising of Humanistic Thoughts, Job Satisfaction has received more and more attention. As a kind of subjective feeling and attitude to work,job satisfaction has direct or indirect impact on the working performance. Government,a special organization,which serves the whole people,therefore,their worker--civil servants`job satisfaction not only closely related to themselves,but also has great influence on government working efficiency,quality of service and public image.Civil servants who are working at the basic level of government authority, because of their particular working environment,they directly face the people and they are the carrier of specific policies,so their job satisfaction has direct impact on public interests.This paper selects young civil servants of Y county Hunan province as research object. After investigating their job satisfaction and doing statistical analysis, we can reach the following conclutions:First, use leadership and management, material rewards, job itself, promotion prospects and work characteristics as independent variables, job satisfaction as dependent variable do regression equation,we obtain regression equation:job satisfaction=0.204leadership and management+0.246material reward+0.190promotion prospects+0.238work itself+0.185work charateristics+0.214work conditions.That is to say,we can reduce the contribution of each dimension to job satisfaction to material rewards, work itself, work conditions, leadership and management, promotion prospects and work charateristics successively.Second, use domegraphic valubales such as sex, age, marital status, education levels, service year, position levels and working region as independent varibles to test the disparity of job satisfaction,we get sex and position level has great influence on job satisfaction,while the others,such as age,are not.Third, young civil servants`job satisfaction in Y county Hunan province is relatively higher.In view of the above conclusions, hierarchy of needs, disparity theory, motivation-hyfiene theory and equity theory, we then put forward several corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to improve young civil servants`job satisfaction of Y county Hunan.
