Research On The Accountability System Of Government Official’s

Powers and duties can not be separated. While exercising your power， you have toshoulder responsibilities accordingly. Here the accountability system fully represents theequality of the two， for it is kind of system that aims at supervising and ascertaining theadministrative omission or the administrative illegal acts of the government officials. Fora long time， our government officials are hardly accountable for their inappropriateconduct and consequently， the government’s credibility is challenged and questioned.But with the implementation of the accountability system， the government officials’misdeed can be affixed and it is not only beneficial to the construction of the governmentsystem， but also significant to strengthening the authority and the credibility of thegovernment.This paper commences its research from the connotation of the accountabilitysystem of government official’s. At the very beginning， it will probe on the basictheories of the accountability system of government official’s， including governmentofficial， responsibility and the accountability system etc. Based on the analysis， it willdefine the connotation and interpret the disciplines that must be obeyed and proceduresthat must be followed. Then， it gives a detailed analysis of the current accountabilitysystem and summarizes what has been achieved and more importantly the existingproblems so as to point out the reasons. Finally， several proposals are put forward toperfect the current accountability system of government official’s， including followingthree aspects: tamping a sound institutional basis， consummating supporting measuresand constructing an atmosphere so as to develop the accountability system into a culture.
