College Students Professional Career Education Research

College students, who have tried their best in competing with each other in the university entrance exam, are a special group in education. How should they carry on their career planning and designing so as to achieve self-fulfillment in their future life? With the development of society and the expansion of college enrollment, the number of college graduates increase massively. How to increase the employment rate of college students and how to help graduates find jobs successfully are big issues we confront with. Among those issues, college students’ career education begin to enter people’field of view and becomes a new topic in China’ higher education.College students’ career education was first originated in the west. Until now, it has formed a set of scientific and perfect education system. Career education has become a lifelong activity now. For some historical reasons in our China, career education is still in its infancy, and just targets on students in college, especially four-year undergraduates. In the process of career education, there are a lot of weaknesses.In face with such situation, based on the existing research results and with the guidance of related theories, the author conducts a systematic analysis of career education for college students from the angle of ideological-political education. The research methods will include literature review, comparative study and questionnaire research. The analysis is divided into the following parts:Firstly, define the related concepts of career education which includes profession, career and career education and understand the intension and extension and interrelation fully. Then, advocate the concept of education college career based on the above analysis. Here is the definition of career education. Career education is a comprehensive education form which helps them integrate internal and external resources according to the actual situation, draw up the career development goals, develop career development plan, and act evaluation, eventually make their own growth. The ultimate goal is to achieve all-round development of liberty and clear the research direction theoretically. Secondly, combining with the investigation of questionnaire results, the author makes an analysis on the current situation of the career education from aspects of the college students’subject, object, content, form and environment, and finds out the main problems existing in China’s current college career education including lack of professional teachers and students’ career consciousness, lack of corresponding policy support and funding, single education content, relatively boring education form, low overall awareness of social education on college students’ career, lower level of localization of Career related ideas are all the problems we have nowadays. Thus, it can be seen that family and society do not utilize their due role in career education.Therefore, on one hand, this paper argues that college students’ career education is a kind of lifelong, comprehensive education activity with development and relativity. Its ultimate aim is to realize the sustainable and comprehensive development of human mind and help people achieve self-actualization and obtain professional success. College career education is a long-term career education process of coherence and also an important part of Chinese higher education which further promote College students’ ideological and political education. Thus, to help students gain self-knowledge, explore work world, choose a career goals, develop a plan of action, and eventually obtain professional success, we need to build a team of professional teachers, build a set of scientific and perfect education system, change the current mode of college students’ career education,On the other hand, we must respect the subjectivity of educators and educatees during the process of college students’ career education. We are requiring accelerating the localization of education and Promoting the ideological and political education while learning the advanced experience of developed countries. Under the support of the government fund and policy to the education department, we have an obligation to build a trinity environment of families, schools and society for college student’s career education, to improve the whole cognition to college students’ career education and finally to help the college students realize the effective implementation of career education.
