As is mentioned in the book Basic Education Curriculum Reform (Trial), the innovation of Students’ learning mode should be changed, which is the focus of the school’s all-round promotion of quality education in our country, with special emphasis on independence, cooperation and learning ways to explore and to study, to alter the situation which teachers, classroom and text books are regarded as our teaching centers, so as to promote students’ learning and self-development.However, the tendency of paying more attention to give knowledge than capacity-building exists in junior high school Chinese teaching over a long period of time. Students are minor actors under the circumstance, which we can’t obtain the purpose of language teaching. So we should try to reform the classroom teaching methods and improve teaching effect. In our Chinese teaching we can try to recommend cooperative learning, so as to improve teacher-student relationship, update the teaching mode, also to arouse students’ awareness to participate and collaborate and to realize the classroom teaching communication.By the analysis about the process, content, method and positive significance of cooperative learning, the author thinks effective cooperative learning can not only enlarge students’ vocabulary, improve students’ ability to use language, but also cultivate students’ enthusiasm in self-learning and the ability to cooperative.The actualities in teaching reading will be investigated and analyzed by questionnaires and interview in this essay. It aims to study the proper principles as well as ways of teaching reading in senior schools and generalize the scientific strategies and techniques. It is hoped that the teachers can improve their abilities in teaching reform and classroom teaching. In addition, our goal is to arouse the students’ interest in reading Chinese and help them to form a good habit of reading in order that they can promote their reading strategies and abilities. This study may help to promote the teachers’ and students’ qualifies at the same time and exploit new ideas of teaching and researching so as to promote the levels of teaching Chinese. This essay aims to sum up the successful experience that we have achieved and find out the current problems by investigating and analyzing the actualities in teaching and learning reading. Operative method can be used to raise their experimental level and language communicative abilities.Again this paper aims to sum up the successful experience that we have achieved and find out the current problems by investigating and analyzing the actualities in teaching and learning reading. Meanwhile, we need to analyze the reasons of this phenomenon and seek how to improve both teaching and learning in Chinese class.There are six parts in this thesis:Chapter one:Find out the questions. Social background is also discussed by describing latest teaching situation in junior middle schools and pointing out the necessities and importance of cooperative learning theories.Chapter two:theoretical basis of cooperative learning patterns.Chapter three:researching process. It mainly introduces research objectives, procedures and means through which questionnaires and classroom observation, interviews and pre-post-tests are used to collect and analysis related data.Further suggestions and reflections are put forth in the last chapter which is our conclusion for the whole thesis. In addition, our goal is meant to arouse the students’ interest in Chinesn learning and help them to form a good habit of learning in order that they can promote their learning strategies and abilities.I have been trying to give some suggestions, which contains ten aspects. They are to study "New Standard of Curriculum", grasp theories in teaching reading, optimize teaching modes, improve teaching strategies, treat the students as the center, improve students’ learning techniques, cultivate their reading abilities, promote their reading strategies, training the students to read well after school and develop their psychology qualities in reading Chinese. As an educating researcher of Chinese, I put forward the quality standard in teaching reading as references.
