Regional economic development and social progress, to some extent, will be greatly influenced by the structure of talented people and their regional distribution. Huanggang has been a place where people of talents are coming forth in large. However, the slow pace of economic development all over city represents the ineffective usage of talented people.Huanggang City, which a long-historical city and owns multi-level culture, is located in the east of Hubei province and has advantage in its location superiority with networks of rivers, Dabie Mountain on its north, and Yangtse alluvial plain on its north. It is a place where cultivate such many talented people.This paper is to study comparatively from the perspective of history based on1,850talented people in modern and contemporary period in Huanggang City. Firstly, the author will make quantification comparison on structure of talented people from the perspective of time, using the indicators of scale and structure. The result after analyzing is that modern structure of the talented for profession is single, the great number of people holding advanced academic degrees, but high density of people with lower level of education, and majority in the talented under the age of50, but female accounting for tiny proportion. The trends towards balance in industry distribution is the main feature in contemporary period, which represents the increasing number of the talented in technological, cultural and political field, holding the advanced degree and the people over50years. With the progress of times, the increasing number of the female talents with the improvement in their degree in extends their professional field.This paper next is to make an analysis from perspective of space of dot, line and plane.①The centre of the talented space distribution is from the south to the north.②The number of the talented is concentrated, especially in the northwest, the west-central area and the southern area.③Talent quantity share and talent density are relatively higher in the north and the south of the river system, The water system of the subsidence central present situation.④The central county personnel distribution is relatively uniform, the two head talent numerous but distribution is extremely nonuniform.⑤The mountains to the north of talent share is a little bit higher, with the military figures give priority to, The southern plain talents working range is wider, high degree to give priority to, the academic degree is higher than the mountains to the north of talents.Through the analysis of talent structure and spatial distribution in Huanggang City, based on its geographical environment and regional culture main features, the author summarizes major three aspects which forming Huanggang talents. They are natural geographical environment, and human geography environment and family environment. The great influence of natural geographical factors are the geographical position and the terrain, and regional economic, political, and cultural tradition and population distribution are the main factors of human geography which influenced talent structure and spatial distribution characteristics. In addition, family economic conditions, family environment and cultural environment talent family of talents also have an important effect on growth.
