Teachers are main promoters of the national education development, the main creator of the human spirit.We can say that if we don’t improve the quality of teachers, there will no the development of education. In order to attract more and more excellent young people who engaged in education as their career life, improve the quality of rural education, achieve the education fair, cultivate the atmosphere of respecting teacher in the whole sociality,the ministry of education decided to implement the free education policy in six subordinate normal university in may,2007. Now the first Tuition—free Normal College Students have taught in primary and secondary school, but are they went to work in primary school out of their will or been forced to teaching out of the constraints of the policy? In the future, they will see the teacher only as a way of earning a living? Or are they willing to work hard in the primary education to become excellent teachers and educators? After the expiration of the service, they will consider to change or willing to teaching, teaching long-term life? In order to solve these problems, combining with the actual situation, this paper named "The Situation of Tuition-free Normal College Students’Professional intention and the research of countermeasures". This paper investigates the condition of Tuition-free Normal College Students’ Professional intention,and analyses the influenced factors, Puts forward countermeasures from university to strengthen their teacher professional intention,make them will to teach in long-term.This paper is divided into four parts. In the first part, it explains the basic theory of teachers’ professional intention. On the basis of investigation, The second part analysis the situation of Professional intention.The survey results are as follows:1. On the whole, the tuition—free normal college students’ Vocational awareness of teacher is positive, but each grade are different. Part of students choose teaching not based on teachers’ professional own value, more on the external value of teachers’ professional, utility color is strong, lack of professional ideal.2. Most of tuition (?)free normal college students love teaching, girls more love teaching than boys, but some of them lack of emotion to teacher professional, need to take relevant measures to train their affection.3. Tuition—free normal college students’teacher professional firm will not enough, unwilling to long-term teaching,, mostly to teachers’ professional have a wait-and-see attitude, if they meet the right of employment opportunities,they will probably leave teacher’ position. They want to work in cities, unwilling to work in grass-roots. The third part, according to the survey results, analyses the factor of their teacher professional status. The fourth part, this paper puts forward the measures to enhance tuition-free normal college students’ professional intention.
