In the meeting of the National Educational Work of1999, the central governmentpointed out the requirement that "to develop higher vocational education", highervocational education in China has entered a rapid development in the new historical stage.Although the number of students in higher vocational colleges is not minority groups ofcollege students, the study of this group is still in the description of the experience, lack ofmacroscopical research and theoretical basis. Because of its educational system andtraining pattern,Vocational college students must show different characteristics.The research based on the type theory, proposed the concept of Vocational CollegeStudents’ Behavior Pattern, macroscopically researched the Vocational College Students’behaviors in school. Through the literature method, to know the studies of college students’behavior from now on, including learning behavior, part-time behavior, marriage behaviorbehavior research. I interviewed with7students from Higher Vocational College, theinterview content involved in student behavior. In the summary, we got the main fiveBehavior Patterns of Higher Vocational College Students and performance of them.According to higher vocational college students’ behavior pattern, we completed thequestionnaire of Higher Vocational College Students’ behavior pattern, the questionnairewas used to extensive research the Vocational College Students’ behavior pattern,investigated the relationship between Higher Vocational College Students’ Behavior Patternand goal of the University, favor of study, occupation planning,self evaluation, schoolevaluation and other aspects. The data shows that: Females compared to males showshigher serious learning, lower entertainment; in the disciplines, the humanities studentscompared to natural science students showed lower widely dating, entertainment; studentbehaviors decreases with grades, social practice increase with the grade. Besideentertainment type, other types of behavior are positively associated with the occupationplan ability, students’ self evaluation. Seriously study and professional affection are positively correlated, entertainment and professional affection are negatively correlated. Atthe same time, serious study, social practice, student activities, recreation behavior typesare significant different in the academic achievement.Higher vocational students showed weak ability of self management, learningobjectives are not clear, the school curriculum is still not perfect, campus cultural activitieslack of attractiveness, students expressed the need for communication with professionalteachers, getting enough practice and employment opportunities.Higher vocational collegescould reform the system, draw lessons from the cooperation between colleges andenterprises, help the development of a variety of personnel training mode, providing thenecessary learning resources and practice resources.In educational activities, teachersshould strengthen the communication with students, offer students the occupation plancurriculum, cultivate students’ professional enthusiasm. Faced with the deviant behavior,higher vocational education should take the development of students’ sound personality asthe first target, there is a long way to go.
