Practice Research On The Self-development Of Students In Rural Areas

Promoting students’ self-development is the essence and mission of school teaching,which also meets the spirit of the Basic Education Curriculum Reform. Just as what theBasic Education Curriculum Reform means to, teachers should try their best to adoptproper teaching methods which are suitable for students needs in order to effectivelypromote the development of students, at the same time, make students feel the happinessand value of study in such an approach. This is also a state that we are pursuing. Moreover,the key to reach the goal is to transform the teaching focus from textbooks and teachers tostudents’ self-development. Meanwhile, teachers’ fully professional development would bethe basis of students’ self-development.This study takes a rural junior high school-M junior high school for an example, toexplore students’ self-development practice and theory in this school, to analyze theachievements and lessons, in order to propose some reflections and experience oncarrying out this educational research and experiment meanwhile.The basic content of my paper is as follows.As I have analyzed the centralconceptions rationlly, my essay systematically cleans up the historical exploration ofIndependent Education and the research of it nowadays. The essay also makes rationalthinking of the necessity and feasibility of students’ self-development, the theoretical baseof self-development education, as well as the connotation and the basic theoreticalhypothesis of the Junior High students’ self-development. On the base of the case in MJunior High Shool in S city, I make a research and reflection of Self-developmentEducation in a rural Junior High School. Consequently, my essay gets an illuminatingconclusion about conducting self-development education in rural junior high schools.
