After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War.The always developed eastern coastal cities are subsided quickly. The national government migrated to Chongqing, and decided Chongqing for the temporary capital. So Chongqing changed from a normal city to the political、economic and cultural center. At the same time,many government agencies、factories and schools soon migrated to Chongqing. The national government realized the supply and demand contradictions of all kinds of professional technicians were very conspicuous, and do their best to developed the vocational education. And the Chongqing education authorities followed ministry of education’s principles to develope their vocational education.The thesis is divided into four parts:an introduce, chapter one two and three.The introduction explains the significance of this paper, defines the relevant concepts, states the present situation of the problem and research method.The first part of this article’s body mainly introduces general principles of vocational education in wartime, and a series of specific policies and measures for the vocational education development adopted by the National Government on rear area.The second part illustrates curriculum, teaching and management of vocational education on rear area during the period of the War of Resistance against Japan, from such aspects as curriculum and textbooks, administrative organizations and funds for equipment, training of teachers and education, enrollment and employment.The last part made a historical assessment and enlightenment of vocational education’s development on the rear area in Anti-Japan war. Its effect manifests that it has trained a large number of practical talents, pushed forward rationalization of the structure of vocational education system, and to a certain extent, changed our country’s traditional concept of despising vocational education. Owing to the history limit, it faces a series of problems and difficulties caused by the shortage of funds. Nevertheless, there are many experiences and enlightening significance on the vocational education’s development in modern China.
