After the industrial revolution, the human productivity levels have got significantly improved. In the advanced enjoy civilization, various environmental problems come to forward. Environmental protection begins to get the attention of the people from all walks. Environmental education started in the world scope developed. Environmental literacy has began to become the measure of a modern quality of the important indexes. The middle and primary school of our country environment education also began to rise in the1980s.Environment is the carrier of human existence and closely bound up to the human life and production. Tourism environment of the city is the tourist city of survival and development of the lifeline, and the base of the development of the tourism industry. But with the vigorous development of tourism industry, the environment problems of tourism cities appear constantly. Tourism city environment education also begins to get people from all walks of attention. High school geography teachers of the Tourism city are the main force of the tourist city middle school environment, which whom shoulder the permeation of environmental education teaching assignment. Their environmental literacy is affiliated to the tourist city middle school environment education goals’realize and the sustainable development of the tourist cities. Do some research of their environmental literacy, not only benefit for the tourist city high school geography teacher’s environmental quality improve but also benefit for tourist city middle school environment education goals’ realize and the tourist city environment quality improve and the socialistic harmonious society construction.Making environment emotional literacy, environment cognitive literacy, environment behavior literacy, environment skills literacy, environmental ethics literacy and environmental education literacy six aspects as foundations, I establish the teacher of environmental quality assessment system. Prepare questionnaire according to tourism city high school geography teacher. Choose22middle schools from Guilin by random sampling method for my survey. Through the statistical analysis and the detailed proof my survey, I get some conclusions as follows:1、The environment emotion literacy of tourist city high school geography teachers is higher, But because of the lower income level, they will give up the beautiful environment when it conflict with their economic interests.2、Most of tourist city high school geography teachers’environmental behavior literacy is higher enough to make an environment friendly citizen, but more than half of the teachers only care about their environmental protection act, to others the destruction of the environment behavior they take laissez faire and the attitude of the sick. It can not consistent with their people’s teacher identity, and can’t deduct the good environment friendly teacher’s role.3、Most of the high school geography teacher keep more solid environment cognitive literacy, but as teachers’environment education training divorce theory from practice and training course setting not reasonable and other factors, their environmental laws and regulations knowledge is weak, environment cognitive literacy is not comprehensive.4、Most of tourist city high school geography teachers fail to have a clear understanding of environmental ethics. They think the purpose of environmental protection is to let the human live better. Their environmental protection concept is still in anthropocentric narrow environmentalists, no rise to pursue mutual equality, human and nature in harmony idea to come up.5、Because of the lack of formal education training, training environment a single pattern and theory from reality, and other factors, tourist city high school geography teacher’s environmental literacy skills are still lower. Most of the teachers can not detect the rain PH and can not analysis the main pollutants river. This can not consistent with their important status in the environment education. Their environment skills literacy should be improve.6、Tourist city high school geography teachers’ environmental education literacy is low. Most of the teachers did not pass through regular environment education training before the job. They can not realize the environmental education goals clearly, and can not realize environmental protection skills and training students environmental protection behavior is the ultimate goal of environmental education.According to today’s tourism city high school geography teachers’ environmental quality situation and combine with the results of analysis of this questionnaire survey, and after deep and detailed discussion and analysis, the author puts forward the following some strategies to improve tourist city high school geography teachers’ environmental literacy:1、Perfect normal education curriculum system of geographical science. Add environment education, environment, environmental law, environmental monitoring, environmental impact assessment and related courses.2、Perfect the geography teachers’environment education on-the-job training mechanism, increase the environmental laws and regulations and environmental skills training content, take theory combined with practical, scientific research and practice and training and so on the many kinds of ways.3、Perfect all the assessment mechanism in the high school, put more environmental knowledge in examination content, and put students’environment literacy in the assessment scoring system.4、Improve middle school teachers income levels, ensure their basic life.5、Through the teachers own efforts, such as:active participation in the environment protection scientific research; active environmental protection practice; emotion in the scene, view in the living feeling; development local environmental education teaching material; Establish environmental education database.
