The new curriculum reform requires high school ideological and political teaching to close to reality, life and students, which requires the students to obtain knowledge and can find the true meaning of life through the phenomenon. However, the developing condition of life teaching is still unsatisfactory in high school ideological and political teaching. In teaching process, teachers always do not pay attention students’subject status. They focuse on imparting knowledge that are not associated with life phenomenon, causing theory and practice in separation. Therefore, students are very easy to feel boring and lose interest in study, which causes that students don’t like to learn and teachers aren’t willing to teach high school ideological and political courses. Thus it can be seen that how to develop life teaching is a significant theoretical and practical topic for high school ideological and political teaching. Under the context of new curriculum reform, this thesis aims at a deeper exploration into this issue.Apart from introductory theory, this thesis includes three parts:The first part explains the new requirements of life teaching in high school ideological and political courses according to the new curriculum reform. The new curriculum reform requires that teching must return to life and close to the student’s life reality; Teaching must service life and improve students’ social adaptabilities; Teaching must originates from life and is higher than life, which improves the students’emotional attitude and value.The second part analyses the existing problems of life teaching and its reasons in high school ideological and political courses under the background of the new curriculum reform. The author thinks that the main problems of life teaching include these aspects: Teaching objectives is deviated; Teaching content is easy; Teaching method is inappropriate; Teaching evaluation is unilateral; Life teaching is formalized; Teachers don’t play leading role in the teaching process; Students initiative is not enough and they don’t participate. These problems are caused by various reasons. The author concludes the main problems, including:The theory of life teaching is not enough; School administrators don’t pay attention to life teaching; Some teachers’professional qualities can not meet the requirements of life teaching; Students lack life experience, which makes life teaching difficult; Life teaching condition is not sufficient.The third part puts forward some advice to solving the problems of life teaching in high school ideological and political courses, including strengthening the theory of life teaching, promoting the life teaching model, improving teachers’teaching abilities, insisting on people-oriented management, stimulating students’participation and providing external conditions for life teaching.
