An Inquiry Into The Social Gender Consciousness And The Construction Of Harmonious Society

On the sixteenth reports of the party, there is a set of proposition that is economic development、democracy sound、technological progress、culture more prosperity、society more harmony and the people’s life more buoyant. In this case, with the words in the file,"harmonious" is written into the party for the first time. Since that time, harmonious has become the main theme in Chinese political life. On September16,2004, on the Fourth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth, a new proposition that “building a harmonious socialist society "is generated for the first time. On October15,2007, on the17th National Congress of the Party, to surround the theme-harmonious society, the ambitious goal of constructing socialist harmonious society is put forward once again. All the thing shows that the importance of the topic of social harmonyHarmonious socialist society is a huge system, involving politics、economy、 culture、education、gender relations and other aspects, and with rich content、complex structure and wide range. Harmonious socialist society is a society that everyone can do everything, get what they want. in this place the "people" is not an abstract concept, but in both men and women, specially for real people in the real world, and the most fundamental relationship between men and women. Gender harmony is based on respect for the natural differences in men and women, with economic harmony、regional harmony、national harmony and ecological harmony, they are the essential conditions to achieve a harmonious society, the inevitable requirement to build a harmonious socialist society. Therefore, the harmonious society must pay attention to the promotion of gender equality, justice, harmony and development. In a society, if the development of the gender gap between women and men is very huge, it is clear that this society is not harmonious. Under the current conditions in China, due to the impact of social politics、economy、culture、education、women themselves and other factors, the development imbalance between the sexes has not been completely eliminated, correct gender awareness among the general population has not yet formed, the disharmony in the society can be seen everywhere. Basing on this, the article first made a systematic overview of gender theory, at the same time it clarifies the relationship between gender consciousness and construction of harmonious society. Second, after listing some of the achievements in China in the process of promoting gender awareness, the article more points out that the gender consciousness in the social life in the economical political、 ideological、cultural and educational aspects of deviation, and analyzes the various reasons for the promotion of awareness of gender bias:political reasons、ecomomical reasons、the deep-rooted cultural factors, as well as mental orientation from women themselves. Finally, basing on the analysis of these reasons, from various angles, multi-faceted, multi-channel to give some advice on cultivating correct gender awareness:bring the concept of gender awareness into the employment, to effectively protect the employment rights of women; improve the opportunities and the level of female participation in politics; change the traditional gender concept and build the advanced gender culture; give full play to the educational function of school education; women themselves cultivation.
