As the college continues to deepen the reform of physical education and implement the elective system,"Quality education’’,"People-oriented,""Happy Sport","Health First","Lifetime snoris" concept has been growing a wide range known and used, track and fieid programs are being gradually diluted and decline. College track and field lessons and theoretical studies of the reform is in full swing, and in the past period of time has achieved plenty of progress, but the results of the process in the reform are not so obvious, college athletics is not completely out of the class difficulties, most of the research scholars and physical education teachers pay more attention to the direction of the research on the theoretical level, the specific experimental study. Through the specific experimental study, the article tries to explore a suitable way for the college program to carry out the feasibility of track and field courseIn this study, based on the students from2010eight classes of Kingbridge Business College of Dongbei University of Finance Economics (experimental group and control group of four classes, a total of244people) using literature, expert interviews, questionnaires, observation method, experimental method and the method of mathematical statistics a series of research work. The study concludes that:1. Setting up college athletics programs is necessary. Not only the end of the school physical education that the students need to achieve, but also the start of the lifelong physical activity for the college students. How to set up a successful track and field program for the College of Physical Education for Higher Education has a far-reaching significance for the comprehensive quality of increase, for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, powerful and prosperous.2. The reform of the current curriculum in college athletics focuses on theory, research, and repeats the study for the same problem. There are too many old views, with the lack of innovation. From a practical point of view, to the specifie experimental research to explore athleties participation and curriculum reform,college track and field course for the path of sustainable development has an important role.3. The model of the traditional track and field course no longer fits the needs of contemporary college students, college track and field optimization and reorganization of curriculum materials for track and field course in the future take the road of sustainable development provides a new perspective. The application of appropriate physical and athletics-related training content, instead of the traditional college athletics to improve physical fitness, more direct significance.4. The use of circuit training method with appropriate training and physical training content can improve the students’ability and interests in track and field athletics. Improving the density of physical exercise can achieve better fitness results, even better than the traditional track and field programs.5. The whole new track and field class that mainly uses the physical training combines with circuit training can more easily extend the classes and then help the special physical, technical and tactical improvement. But also for college students, which will leave school sooner or later, can develop a solid foundation for lifelong physical values.
