Love, as the traditional virtues of China, is the excellent achievement that is inheritedfrom the five thousand years of Chinese civilization. We can see the love from the old sayingssuch as ‘Expend the respect of the aged in one’s family to that of other families; expend thelove of the young ones in one’s family to that of other families.’ and ‘Such kindness of warmsun, can’t be repaid by grass.’ However, in recent years, people in society become colder andcolder. Not only do they not feel the love around, but do not know to return the love given byothers with a grateful heart. This common fashion has affected middle school students of ourtime, which have made some of them follow them. So, to further strengthen the humanisticeducation function of Chinese and the education of love among middle school students hasbecome an important task of Chinese teacher in the new era. The passage puts forward aseries of improvement strategies of carrying out the education of love, combined with thecurrent teaching situation and the statistics of articles about love among the textbookspublished by the PEP. It’s made up of three parts:The first part mainly deals with the background where the education of love puts forward.Firstly I listed the phenomenon and the reasons of the love missing among middle schoolstudents from the subjective and objective aspects.Secondly I analyze the responsibility thatChinese education carry. It’s really necessary and possible to carry out the education of lovein Chinese education.The second part illustrates the current situation of the education of love in presentChinese education. Firstly I count the articles about love among the textbooks by the way ofquantitative analysis, and analyze the result in detail. Secondly I research the approaches ofthe articles of love in current teaching. At the same time I find some advantages anddisadvantages that provide the basis for solution measures.The third part treats of the improving strategies about textbooks and teaching. Thestrategies about textbooks are as follows: to link up junior high school textbooks and highschool textbooks; to increase the articles about such ‘little love’; to add contents aboutself-love; to advance with the times; to add the poems and beautiful articles that express thelove; to compose a set of supporting Chinese textbooks that are mainly about the education oflove. Strategies about teaching are as follows: to clear the objective about love; to expand out on the basis of the text; to reduce the utilitarian; to face squarely but not avoid; Chineseteachers spread the love to students using of professional advantages; to contact with othersubjects; to play the role of modern teaching media. By means of these strategies, theeducation about love must be more complete.In a word, the education of love is the love what the middle school students must receiveand is the road to perfect their personalities, care for others and value lives. Fully searchingfor the love course and educating students in emotional attitudes and values are each teacher’sessential responsibility.
