Primary school teachers are the main practitioners of basic education.The quality of primary school teachers is not only related to the growth of children’s life,but also directly related to the healthy development of my country’s basic education.Teacher education is the source of the building of the teaching team and affects the quality of teachers.In recent years,with the integrated development of teacher education,the previous independent and closed talent training model of higher normal colleges can no longer fully meet the needs of teacher education reform.The "dual tutor system" is a cooperative education mechanism for college teachers and practice base teachers to coordinate and guide normal students in the practice of normal student education,so as to exercise the teaching and education abilities of normal students.The effective application of the "dual tutor system" in the field of teacher education is not only conducive to improving the quality of talent training in normal universities,but also helping to deepen the cooperation between universities and primary schools,promote the harmonious coexistence of the two,and further promote the integrated development of teacher education.Based on the theory of teacher cooperation and constructivism,the questionnaire survey method and interview method were used to investigate and analyze the implementation of the "dual tutor system" for primary education majors in three normal universities in Q City.A total of 357 questionnaires were issued and interviewed.There are 20 undergraduates majoring in elementary education,college instructors and elementary school instructors.The investigation found that the implementation of the "dual tutor system" in three higher normal colleges in Q city has achieved certain results,and the overall practical ability of students has been improved;dual tutors are more responsible in the process of guidance;students believe that dual tutors are important for improving their professional practical ability.Help is great.However,there are also the following problems: First,in terms of the teaching staff:the total number of tutors is limited,the team structure needs to be optimized,and the coaching ability needs to be enhanced.Second,in terms of inter-subject communication and interaction: the frequency of communication between tutors is low,and the interaction between teachers and students is less.Third,in terms of the mentor guidance process: the mentor’s guidance content is incomplete,the guidance time is short,and the guidance method is single.On this basis,an in-depth analysis of the reasons for the unsatisfactory implementation of the "dual tutor system" in the three normal universities in Q city is carried out.The main manifestations are: the high normal universities have insufficient support for the implementation of the "dual tutor system";Establish a long-term cooperative relationship;the tutors themselves are not effective in their guidance.Finally,based on the previous analysis of the problems and reasons in the implementation of the "dual tutor system",this research puts forward specific strategies to promote the effective implementation of the "dual tutor system" :increase support for the implementation of the "dual tutor system";deepen the main body Cooperation and exchanges among others;enhance the effectiveness of tutor guidance,so as to improve the practical ability of primary education major undergraduate normal students,enhance employment competitiveness,and cultivate high-quality primary school teachers needed in the new era.
