In order to improve the quality of teaching and personnel training in university,the Ministry of Education started the project of National Quality Curriculumconstruction in2003. The national quality curriculum of ideological and politicaltheory course is considered as an important part of National Quality Curriculum,which is at the highest level, with first-class teaching staff, first-class teachingcontent, first-class teaching materials, first-class teaching methods and means,first-class teaching management.Among them, the first-class teaching staff is the keyof the National Quality Curriculum.In order to improve the quality of the nationalquality curriculum of ideological and political theory course, we must adhere to beguided by Marxism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the importantthinking of "Three Represents", thoroughly implement the Scientific Outlook ondevelopment and national ideological and political theory course teachersconstruction documents, to the construction of teaching and research organizations asa platform,based as recruitment,taking training as the means,take disciplineconstruction as the support, for the guarantee to institutional construction,cultivatingteachers which has first-class team of teachers, first-class teaching content andteaching materials, first-class teaching methods and scientific research, first-classteacher management mechanism.Since the start of construction project of National Quality Curriculum, ourcountry has built48National Quality Curriculums of ideological and political theorycourse.At the same time,the construction of teachers of the national qualitycurriculum of ideological and political theory course has also made remarkableachievements:the initial establishment of the teachers in training mechanism, teachingand research institutions and academic disciplines, teacher selection with themechanism, related policies and systems.But,it has also some problems:teachers’stability is poor, the level of teaching scientific research should be improved, youngteachers’ training needs to strengthen, teacher team structure is to be optimized.On the basis of depth analysis of the construction status of teachers of thenational quality curriculum of ideological and political theory course,this paperproposes a number of initiatives to strengthen and improve the construction ofteachers of the national quality curriculum of ideological and political theorycourse.strengthen the echelon construction, building first-class teachers; attaching great importance to teaching and research, to improve the overall quality of theteachers; improving the teaching and research institutions, strengthen the constructionof curricular programs; sounding national policies, sound national policies andregulations, and improve the teaching and research system.
