Objective:The purpose of this paper was to carry out a plan of core strength training which is special for the competitive aerobics athletes to explore the effect of the training on the athletes’balance ability.Method:16sport aerobics athletes were randomly divided into2groups:compared group and core strength training group, each group consists of8athletes. All the athletes attend the same training class of the major, and the training group takes part in a core strength training (3times/week,30-40minutes/time) else on the basis of major class. The training plan involved in power, endurance, and the stability of the core. We evaluated the core strengthu balance ability and the aerobics skills at the beginning of core strength training, at the end of the4th week and the8th week. The test of the core contains power、 endurance and stability. The balance ability and limits of stability were tested by Biodex Balance System in different pose (eyes open/closed and both feet standings eyes open and left/right foot standing). Analysing all three indicators which are stability index、 anterior/posterior stability index and medial/lateral stability index. The test of limits of stability I measured, involved direction control performance、 forward direction control performance、 back direction control Performance、 left direction control performance、 right direction control performance、 forward/left direction control performance、 forward/right direction control performance、 back/left direction control performance、 back/right direction control performance and limits of stability time. We chose the L-support and Frontal Balance as skill indicators to evaluate the Sport Aerobics.Result:(1) The effect of training plan on athletes’core strength and stability. The core strength training which last8weeks can improve both athletes’power and endurance.By the indicators of front and back of core strength, we can found that the influence of the training on the power is more obvious than endurance; The result of frontal core strength shows left is much better than right. As the training goes on, the strength of both sides would develop into balanced trend. (2) The effect of training plan on athletes’balance ability.1) Core strength training has no influence on balance ability in eyes open and both feet standing pose.2) After8weeks core strength training, the index of stability^anterior/posterior stability and medial/lateral decreased in eyes closed and both feet standing pose are all improved;3) The test in eyes open and single foot standing pose, the SI、 APSI、 MLSI of right has no significance, however those indicators of left has improved significantly, so does the balance ability in the sagital and frontal axises. And the balance ability of both sides can develop in a wholesome direction after the training;4) The research result shows the DC、FRDC、LOST of core strength training group is obviously stronger than those of compared group.(3) With the help of8weeks core training, the indicators of skill (L-support and Frontal balance) has also been strengthened significantly.
