The Research And Strategy About The Employment Problems Of Vocational School Graduates

The employment is the primary problem of people’s livelihood. In the groups ofemployment, the secondary vocational school graduates are the special one.(Hereinafterreferred to as “vocational school”).Different from college graduates and peasant-workers,they not only received good professional education,but also have certain skills, therefore theyare important human resource for developing nation industry and building a modern society.They are also the important force to fill the gap of the skilled human resource. But with thedevelopment and improvement of the market economy, the advancement of the educationalsystem reformation, all kinds of labor resources tend to be the same kind obviously. Collegesare paying more emphasis on skills training; The overall quality of peasant-workers areincreasingly improving. Therefore, the social employment situation is becoming more serious.Under this background, the job opportunities for vocational school graduates are lack. Theemployment problems are highlighted. The reason, which causes the employment problems,relates to the four aspects: government、society、education and graduates themselves. Suchreasons as the orientation of the government policy; the influence of social environment; thetraining mode of the education and the job conceptions of the graduates cause the difficultiesto improve the quality of graduates.Based on years of experience, the author is fully aware of the serious employmentsituation of vocational schools graduates. Through the analysis of the employment status ofgraduates in32vocational schools in Weifang City, Shandong Province, combined with thecharacteristics of the regional economic development of Weifang and a series of researchesand visits, the author aims to reveal employment problems of vocational school graduates andstrive to explore the strategies and ideas to solve these problems in Weifang, even in thewhole country.
