Because of its unique geographical location ideological and political educationcompared with other provinces development has many features, such as the educationobject and a plurality, national education contents education of national unity,patriotism education, anti split education. At the same time, there also exist someproblems, such as the sense of innovation education, practice education consciousness,market competition consciousness education is relatively weak. In addition, it alsofaces a lot of challenges, such as the ideology of separatist forces to disruption of thepermeability is more severe, religious colleges in Xinjiang influenced more covert.These features and problems, in the ideological and political education of graduatestudents is also prevalent. But as the central work conference in Xinjiang convened,set the national wisdom, the strength that cites the whole nation building in Xinjiang,make Xinjiang entered span type development period, and the Xinjiang UniversityIdeological and political education of the external environment has changed greatly,on the high degree of talent demand expands ceaselessly at the same time also to thesetalents thought quality and moral standards with higher requirements. Therefore,every Xinjiang colleges in the training of graduate students we should attach greatimportance to the cultivation of comprehensive quality, especially the education ofthought and politics quality is crucial. In promoting the great-leap-forward development, and the long period of stability,education plays a fundamental and overall role. As a response to the leapingdevelopment of Xinjiang education especially to the challenges caused by ideologicaland political education, people should analysis and summarise those problems,reasons and countermeasures which lie in ideological and political theory education ofXinjiang, thus trying to find the methods of ideological and political education inXinjiang. As a result, its positive function of cultivating new talents will beenhanced.This article analysises of the problems and confusion of current Xinjiang graduatestudents’ thought political education and emphasises Xinjiang ’s externalenvironment, education objects, education itself and the education content,Thearticle also discusses the obvious characteristics of current ideological and politicaleducation in Xinjiang colleges and put forward a series of thoughts on strengtheningand improving the ideological and political education of graduate students in Xinjianguniversities. It is hoped to provide valuable reference for the improvement of graduatestudents’ ideological and political education.The first part of introduction, as the foundation, to the domestic and foreign literaturesare reviewed at the same time, expounds the reasons why write.
