Nowadays the global pays attention to the information technology educationgreatly, which can be related to an enterprise, society and even the country directly orindirectly. At the same time, it also becomes a part of our life and changes the way oflife. The importance of information technology education is self-evident. OurElementary and Middle schools have established this curriculum, which hasencountered hindrance and challenge with the development of the course. How tobreak the hindrance? How to win the challenge? How to find a suitable road forChinese information technology education? We should think these questions deeply.Chinese information technology education is mainly in the form of the schoolinformation technology curriculum teaching. The school information technologycurriculum teaching is consisted of teacher, student and textbook. Textbook is anindispensable part of an IT class teaching. However the use of IT teaching materials isnot ideal. More and more questioning voice is rang out. Why do these phenomenaexist? Some scholars point out that our IT textbooks have some disadvantages such asupdating, adaptability, effectiveness and so on. How to improve these disadvantages?The author was a part-time teacher in Shanghai High School and accumulatedexperience of teaching the course of information technology. She realizes that thedifference of domestic and foreign information technology textbooks in the layout, thedesign of task, the teaching content and so on. This let the author get the idea ofcombining foreign information technology teaching material so as to improve ourdomestic information technology textbooks.With the instruction and suggestion of the author’s internship, she chooses twoforeign IT textbooks and takes them as a research object. These two textbooks areNPCC and CCIA which are foreign classical IT teaching materials. One is for thelevel of high school and college and the other is for the level of junior middle school. The aim of research is to provide some advances and help to reform our IT textbooks.This paper mainly completes the following studies:Firstly, the author collects, reads, screens and summarizes a large number ofliterature materials. The author can know much about researches of domestic andforeign information technology textbooks. The author also can know the situation andproblems of our IT education. Besides, she can understand the IT curriculumstandards of domestic and foreign IT course. Then she combines domestic ITtextbooks with foreign IT textbooks and analyzes the foreign IT textbookstarget-oriented and accurately.Secondly, from different aspects such as content, organizational structure,teaching designs and so on, the author analyzes and researches two foreign ITtextbooks. At the same time, the author also understands and summarizes thetextbooks.Thirdly, according to analysis, the author designs a unit plan. And the authorselects a part of the unit plan to teaching in the classroom as well. This will help theauthor know the effect of the teaching and know how to improve the unit plan.Finally, the author summarizes the results of research. Except that, the authoralso sums up the characteristics and the enlightenment of these two foreign ITtextbooks in order to provide some help to reform IT curriculum.
