Education has been an importance part of the competitive softpower among countries in the world which the economy andinformation has been globalized fast. Current politics education andthe ideological and political course are inseparably interconnected.How to effectively carry out the current politics education in thepolitical class, become the hot spots and focus of research whichfront-line educators concerned about. Current politics education is animportant part of ideological and political education is to promoteschool reform essential. Investigating the status of current affairs in theteaching of high school ideological and political education, as well ashow to actively and effectively in the high school teaching ofideological and political current affairs education is the focus of thisarticle.In this paper, a combination of qualitative and quantitativeresearch methods is used. Survey visit to a city of five High Schools’students and first-line political teachers in Henan province has beenmade. In-depth analysis of the implementation of current affairseducation and the reasons are the target. The methods and measuresfor the current political education in the process of ideological andpolitical teaching are discussed. This study is of great significance tofurther strengthen the use of current affairs education in the teaching ofhigh school politics and to the political professional development ofteachers. It’s helpful to improve the political teachers to improve thequality of teaching of political science and to promote studentsideological and political qualities and ability.This thesis is divided intofour parts.The first part described the importance of current politicaleducation of high school ideological and political course, as well as themain role of the current political education and the relationshipbetween ideological and political class and current affairs education.The second part took a city of five high school students andfirst-line high school politics teacher in Henan province as the researchobject, and investigated on the status of current political education ofhigh school ideological and political course. The results were based onthe analysis of questionnaire and interview data, and pointed out theprogress and the inadequacies of current affairs education.The thirdpart investigated the causes of the problems of current politicaleducation in high school ideological and political course.The fourthpart proposed countermeasures based on the problems and causes ofcurrent political education in the high school ideological and politicalcourse.
