The college counselors system gives expressions to Chinesecharacteristics, counselors are the leaders of university students’political thought, and have the enormous impact on the collegestudents integrated development. However, with the development ofthe times and the enrollment expansion of colleges and universities, thesociety makes higher demands of students’ counselors. Historical andobjective reasons lead to many shortcomings of the college counselorssystem both in theory and practice. The paper from the three differentdimensions namely the historical evolution, case investigation andcomparative study, to explore Chinas counselor team current situationand problem, on the basis of seeking solutions to the problems.The main body of the paper is divided into five chapters. Thefirst chapter focuses on proposing the research questions, includingbackground and policy background, purpose and meaning, ideas,methods, and relevant literature reviewed.The second chapter fromthe historical point of view, review our country instructor system in thehistorical process, the analysis of the development and its variationtrend. The third chapter uses the "two" and the case study method, toexplore the construction status and problems of our counselors. On theUnited States, Britain, Taiwan, the HongKong College Student AffairsManagement in comparison has a characteristic part wereintroduced(such as the American college student affairs worker trainingcourse,the British tutorial system, the lessons of the auxiliary triple systemand the Hong Kong College student management model). On thebasis of it,expounds the construction of college counselors teaminspiration. ChapterⅥ, on the basis of the first four chapters, study thestatus of College Counselors team building and problem summary andgeneralization,and propose a corresponding improvement countermeasures and suggestions.The study found that the construction status of Chinas collegecounselors are not optimistic, the main problems: the duties of acounselor provisions unscientific, leading to a heavy task, responsibility,and not professional; counselor training, incentive and promotionmechanism unreasonable, the lack of long-term mechanism, leading tothe counselors work is not high enthusiasm, team instability; counselorsand professional teachers to less efficient use of the guiding role of theprofessional teachers on students ideological and political education.Fourth, the College Counselors structure is irrational, mainly reflected inthree aspects, namely younger age groups, professional counterparts,as well as teacher-student ratio uncoordinated. Five is a counselor inthe recruitment process, the less demanding of professional,professional no limit, there is no uniform standard; six domestic collegesand universities do not have an instructor professionals, the currentcounselor is not a professional training and training, specializeddevelopment difficult to guarantee.Aiming at these problems, the thesis proposes the improvementcountermeasure and the suggestion: Regulate the counselor duties, tobecome scientific, strengthen counselor specialized construction; buildflat organizational structure, the system of Implementation is runningvertical; adhere to the selection of the access mechanism to ensure thestandardization of hiring counselors;make the mechanisms ofdevelopment and promotion better, mechanism; to make thecounselor training and training systems perfect, improve theprofessional level; harness the power of professional teachers, and dothe students work together.
