Cooperative Learning Group In Shanghai, The Application Of The High School Information Technology Teaching

Cooperative learning is used in many countries nowadays as acreative teaching method. It is widely recognized and accepted thatcooperative learning helps to cultivate the students’ cooperative skills,interpersonal skills and innovation skills. It also motivates the students tolearn proactively.However, due to the difference of Chinese education system,cooperative learning only achieved slow progress in the basiceducation courses and also encountered a lot of problems. With morethan10years of teaching experiemce of high school informationtechnology course, the researcher believes cooperative learning is ableto play an important role in the information technology teaching.There are severl key issues to be settled before the approach ofcooperative learning to information technology teaching. The first is tochoose the suitable teaching contents. Then there should be areasonable grouping scheme to ensure each group has the ability tocomplete the learning task. After grouping, a clear division of labor isneeded to ensure that each team member can be put into the study.And there also need a clear evaluation plan which can supervise theteam to participate better in learning before the tasks are assigned. Inthe whole process, the teacher is not a spectator but a good coacher.Paying attention of above key issues, the researcher conductedthe practice to approach cooperative learning in the teachinginformation technology to Grade One students in Shanghgai Nan YangModel High School. This thesis will share the success and problems withtwo examples. One is from Photoshop teaching-‘Young Volunteerslogo design for Nan Yang Model High School’. Another is ‘algorithmand programming-branch structure (choice mode)’.From the study and practice, cooperative learning was believed to be helpfull to the cultivate students information accomplishments. It’sworth to be popularized in teaching information technology course.There will be a brilliant future for cooperative learning in the senior highschool information technology teaching.
