On The Development Strategy Of Guangxi Vocational And Technical Institute Of Industry

Under the background of the internationalization and popularization of the higher education, in order to gain foothold and to achieve development in the fierce competition among colleges and universities, higher vocational colleges should study to determine the strategic goals which accords with the direction of economic development of this area, and form the sustainable competitive advantage. Under the background of making the development strategy for Guangxi Vocational and Technical Institute of Industry, by analyzing of the variation trend of the industrial environment, this paper study the running status of the college, and puts forward the practical development strategy.Firstly, the theory of the development of higher vocational education is reviewed in this paper, bases on which, the paper analyses the connotation of the development of higher vocational education in our country, and discusses its characteristics. Secondly, by using SWOT analysis method, the paper comprehensively compares and analyses the own strength of Guangxi Vocational and Technical Institute of Industry and the gap between itself and its competitors, so as to find the advantages and disadvantages of it. On account of this purpose, this paper studies the possible changes of external environment to find out the opportunities and threats that the college faces to, and puts forward the strategic plan for the college. Finally, this paper discusses the strategic implementation and security measures. The starting point of this paper is to combine theory with practice, try to apply the strategic management theories as SWOT analysis method to the development strategy formulation of Guangxi Vocational and Technical Institute of Industry, to provide ideas and methods for enhancing the college’s core competitiveness.
