Information technology is an independent subject branch; it is also the basis for the development of all subjects. Information technology was set up in senior middle schools with the purpose of laying foundation for the nurturing of future citizens to adapt them to the information society. The fundamental purpose of information technique course in senior high schools is to improve the students’information literacy. And the information literacy not only demands that the students should master the basic information technology skills and have unique development, but also demands that they should learn to make exchanges and cooperation with others by making use of information technology, to broaden horizons and make innovations, to improve thinking and decision-making levels and to enhance problem-solving and lifelong learning abilities, to define the rights and obligations together with ethics and regulations of citizens in the information society, and to develop values and sense of responsibility in the information society so that guarantees can be provided for them to adapt to the future learning society.In order to achieve this aim, we should pay attention to the students’learning evaluation, apart from making appropriate lesson planning as well as courseware and having decent teaching because learning evaluation can guide, inspire, diagnose and promote the learning of information technology. To implement evaluation according to the Curriculum Standard or the teaching objectives of each class can not only improve the teaching level of information technology teachers but also stimulate the study and activate the interest of the students so that their information literacy would be gradually improved.Previous high school information technology course evaluation partially pursued pass rate which resulted in that academic level exam became the only way of evaluation. Therefore, the ending of the exam meant that the learning of course learning was over. Academic level exam, with single evaluation subject and evaluation method, only pays attention to the summative assessment and part of the knowledge and skills, rather than have overall consideration of the process and the method as well as evaluation objectives of attitudes and values. Therefore, this evaluation couldn’t make objective evaluation upon the study of students. This evaluation notion and situation would not only affect the cultivation of the students’ information literacy, but also influence the attitude of the student, teachers and the school leaders towards this course and exert negative influence on the future development of teachers and students. Various problems existing in the evaluation system of the learning of information technology has already seriously affected the effective implementation of the course. So it is urgent to explore the problems existing in the evaluation system of information technology and to find out the countermeasures to solve these problems.This paper was written under the circumstance of the new curriculum reform. To write this paper, firstly the author researched the basic theory of the information technology teaching evaluation, and then studied the current situation of the learning evaluation of the information technology in senior middle schools in Shangluo areas. Through the study together with many years’work experiences and research, the author found the problems existing in the evaluation. Through summarization and clarification, the author tried to find the countermeasures to the problem, aiming at providing some beneficial suggestions for the later teaching evaluation. The author investigated the problems existing in the learning evaluation of information technology of senior middle schools in Shangluo areas by making questionnaires and interviews. Specifically speaking, the author mainly investigated the teachers and students in the four high schools in Shangluo areas. Then the author found the main problems existing in the process of the learning evaluation of the information technology course of senior middle schools in Shangluo areas on the basis of summarizing and analyzing the collected information. Next the author tried to put forward corresponding countermeasure towards these problems. And finally the author tried to verify the feasibility of these strategies by making an experiment. It is the author’s hope that this paper can provide some clues to deepen the learning evaluation of information technology course.
