A Research On Nantong High School’s Physical Ecatcation

Zhang Jian, the number one master in the late Qing Dynasty, a famous educator，industrialists and founder of Nantong high school in Jiangsu province. In the beginning ofthe twentieth century, in order to save the nation, Zhang Jian used Nantong as "EducationSalvation"‘s experimental field, he called for education thought that training talents needpay equal attention to a moral, behavior and art and also emphasized physical education. Inthe new school founded in Nantong, established physical education and advocated afterschool sports and sports training. Nantong high school set up by Zhang Jian personally in1909, and also was one of new schools in Nantong. Nantong high school inheritedzhangJian’s education idea of all-round development and emphasized physical education asa important mean of educating people. In the end, Nantong high school has famous asremarkable achievements. Doing research for Nantong high school physical education‘slaw and characteristic, is of great significance for today’s physical education.For this paper, the author mainly uses the method of document and field study, anddoing research personally. The author has made system files and summary related withNantong high school, include historical literature of Zhang Jian’s physical educationthought and practice, and situation of Nantong high school’s physical education, some ofmemories of the article and photographs, have been classified. The author interviewedschool leaders, teachers, students in person, summed up the Nantong high school sportsteaching, extracurricular sports activities, sports organizations, sports training, sportsmanagement and its successful experience.Finally, according to the deep research of Nantong high school physical education,successful experience of Nantong high school physical education will give many schoolinspirations. First, the physical education must enhance the physical fitness of students,cultivate perfect personality as the fundamental task; Second, adhere to the " combinationof education and physical education, complementary each other" road; third, we should beuse of interest oriented, build the participation of all sports atmosphere; fourth, the goodconditions and perfect school regulations is the important guarantee of the development ofschool physical education; fifth, we should pay attention to the training of teachers; sixth,we should take advantage of teachers of the school culture the auxiliary effect of sportswork.
