With the gradual reduction of the rural school-age children and the gradual improvementof the living standards of farmers, the demand that most farmers desire for quality ofeducational resources is increasing. The construction of rural boarding schools is not onlyconvenient for students to go to school, facilitate the unified management of schools, promotethe communication between teachers and students, but also improve the students’ living skillsand many other advantages. Under this circumstance, in order to optimize the ruraleducational resources, improve the quality of education and the scale of rural schools,promote the reform of rural compulsory education and the balanced development of regionaleducation, a new round of rural schools in the readjustment was carried out. Due to themerging of rural schools, the number of boarding students is increasing, the construction ofrural boarding school and the management of the particular plight of students have become ahot topic.In order to study the status of the particular plight of the students in the rural boardingschool, this paper selected Yan He primary school as the object of study, using literature,interviews, observation and other methods, from the research we can know that theinfrastructure in rural boarding schools is unsound, security risks, teachers ability to beimproved, corresponding increase in teachers’ workload and financial burden on parents, thepsychological problems of boarders and so on. Through the interviews of school principal,class teachers and the particular plight of students of Yan He primary school, we can learn thebasic characteristics of the particular plight of the students, understand the problems of ruralboarding schools in the management of the particular plight of students, analyze the factorsthat cause problems, put forward the rational strategies, so as to provide some proposals forthe sound development of rural basic education.
