Ebonyi State is one of the most educationally disadvantaged states in Nigeria. Since its inception, the rate of secondary school drop-outs has increased geometrically. This high rate of drop out has caused a negative effect in the social and economic development of the State. Most researchers are of the opinion that bad administration of secondary schools from the school head has encouraged the rate of drop-out students in secondary schools; lack of teaching aids has also discouraged teaching and learning. Corruption among the principals has made parents lose confidence on the premium of trust bestowed on the principals and school staff. Over levy of school fees has encouraged high rates of dropout, middle class and lower class families find it so difficult to coup, inadequate communication gap between teachers and school head is part of the causes of drop out, while others went further to suggest that some of the causes of drop out are, poverty, a situation were a family find it difficult to eat three quarter meal。This type of families is of the opinion that education is meant for the rich and not for the poor because of the financial involvement which they cannot afford. Lack of motivation from the government is another problem. Motivation is very important. It encourages one to perform his task well. But when it is denied the reverse becomes the case. So many factors in one way or the other has a causative effect leading to drop out of secondary school students, it is now of important to consider solutions to address this menace to ensure that the drop out are drop in. Teachers perception of administration of secondary school principal will serve as a guide at the same times checks the activities of teachers in relationship with the principal to ensure that their action is not against effective teaching and learning, and also to identify the teachers point of view on how the secondary school principal carries out every day activates of the school, to improve good relationship between the principal and teachers and that of students. It is also of important to note that our secondary school staff should be properly supervised by the designed board, to ensure that the successes of the students who are leaders of tomorrow are not jeopardized.
