The Chinese language education has been regarded as the basis of national quality andeducation, and compared with other subjects, it is a challenge. The Chinese compositionteaching takes such a vital position in middle school that it is termed as "half jiang shan".Therefore, various efforts are endeavored to the study on Chinese composition teaching.Rural teacher Li Yuan-chang is not only an educational model, but a well-known Chineseeducator and super teacher, for he has made important contributions to rural Chineseeducation reform especially composition teaching, which has a profound theoreticalfoundation. However, by far, no one has done a thorough study on Li Yuan-chang from hiscomposition teaching ideas to even his system. Judging by that, in the backdrop of currenteducational reform, of nine-year compulsory education, of promoting the quality educationand of strengthening rural education, the research of contemporary Chinese language teacherLi Yuan chang s composition teaching is endowed with typical and positive realitysignificance.So, this thesis from two approaches--theory and practice--to study Li Yuan chang scomposition teaching. Thesis mainly is divided into the following four parts: The first part isto expound the background of Li Yuan-chang composition teaching reform, that is the rise ofreform and opening and the eighty s&ninety s quality of education. The two conditions forhis teaching reform provide a good opportunity and a broad stage. The second part is to bespecific interpretation about Li Yuan-chang composition teaching thought. It includes theflowing five points:combine educating people with composition teaching, emphasize thebroadening of writing space; adhere to the integration training of composition teaching; payattention to train student s writing ability in the society; strengthening the combination oftheory and practice. At the same time, it analyzes its intrinsic theoretical basis, thus the theoryand practice get true integration. Any kind of education concept only in the constant practicecan be validated and sublimated. So, the third part will focus on his composition teachingpractice and make a specific analysis, combining pedagogy and psychological theory.Finally, it summarizes the enlightenment and reference significance of Li Yuan-chang composition teaching. It contains the flowing five points:combine social life with compositionteaching; composition training pay attention to systematicness; composition guiding payattention to situation and generative; composition correcting dialogue of teachers andstudents; composition teaching reform is inseparable from the advanced theory.
